Having an eclectic background is very helpful for Having an eclectic background is very helpful for my work as a coach, because people bring so many diverse issues to their sessions.

Not only that, but so much more is expected of us noawadys, in terms of soft skills and self-knowledge. But the advantage of that is that we can bring so much more of ourselves to work, and stay embodied in ourselves and in our values.

In this week's blog post (link in bio), I speak about the challenge of living in a diverse and complex world and how that can help us to grow both as leaders and as people.

I hope you enjoy it!!

The 2nd part of my article on dealing with narciss The 2nd part of my article on dealing with narcissists is now up!

If you've ever found yourself in this position, you might find this useful. Part 2 covers dealing with mental confusion, unusual emotions, the heightened intensity of the connection and the difficulty of holding onto your grasp of reality.

If you have been affected by this issue and you have not completely recovered I do recommend reaching out to a therapist who can help, or finding a support group near you or online.

It's not fair that we have to deal with people like this, but it is a part of life. I hope some of the advice in my article helps you.

To stay in the loop with the information and tools I'm sharing you can sign up for notifications of blog article releases on my site, or to my mailing list (link in bio) where you'll also get a free copy to my top self-development tips. Take care!! ❤

My latest article is all about dealing with narcis My latest article is all about dealing with narcissists (link in bio).

It's a subject close to my heart, because I've witnessed (and experienced) the devastating effects of this issue for many years.

And while it's not always a pleasant topic, it is one that is really helpful to be informed about if you've ever been at the receiving end of a narcissist's bad behavior.

The legacy of that can be a lot of pain, self-doubt, confusion, anger, perhaps even an unwillingness to open up and trust others again.

In this article I share some ways of keeping yourself safe, sane and whole during or after a ride on the narcissism rollercoaster.

And it turns out I had a lot to say, so I'll be releasing part 2 of this article next week.

Take care!

Today's post (link in bio) is a bit of an unusual Today's post (link in bio) is a bit of an unusual one. It is about the pain of losing someone you never knew.

I wonder if you've experienced this too. Perhaps it's someone who created something you really admire, a well-known person, or someone who has been praised by others for having great qualities - but before you ever get a chance to experience their presence for yourself, they're gone. And they took their specialness and insight with them.

And I didn't actually write about this aspect, but thinking about this person has really made me want to get a move on and create more online courses. I find it amazing that you can not only help people while you're sleeping, but even when you've passed beyond the veil. I'm really grateful for the way this man is still helping me, without ever knowing it (most likely).

Have you ever lost someone you never "had"?

 ❤️ 💙 🖤

I'm back! What a great sabbatical. I wrote all abo I'm back! What a great sabbatical. I wrote all about what I was up to in a blog post (link in bio), but the short version is I moved to LA, got married, got a puppy and now I can start working again.

I will be writing books and offering leadership coaching and holistic coaching to US, UK and other international clients. It's really great to get back to it feeling refreshed and excited to work with people again.

I'll be setting up my coaching soon, but in the meantime there are books and resources on my website (and many other platforms), if you feel you could use some help.

Here is a little summary of what I have on offer:

Blog with useful self-development tips and info
Meditations/ visualizations
Perfect: a Picture book for children on self-care
Feeling happy, feeling strong: a practical guide to dealing with feelings of stress and anxiety.
Self-help guides on goal setting, important tools and doing a personal annual review (it's not too late to do it for last year)

I love creating resources that help people. My aim is to support you in fully expressing your talents and inner resources to have a great life. This applies to both leadership and other spheres.

By offering coaching at depth I can help support you in making powerful and lasting change - It's not about deadlines and practical advice (although sometimes these are very important and incorporated). It's about finding your truth and resourcefulness from deep within and using that to power you. Not looking outside ourselves for answers, but finding them inside. This is a big reason why I called my main self-development book The Art of Coming Home (not available now until I release the updated 2nd edition).

So, it's great to be back, I hope you've been doing great and that my tools can help you in your life. Take care.

If you're trying to do something out of the ordina If you're trying to do something out of the ordinary, perhaps without a clear idea of how to reach your goal, it can feel intimidating and even lonely sometimes.

Remember that a lot of people feel exactly the same way, it's not easy to blaze a new trail or step outside what is expected of you. And when you naturally struggle or even fail at points it can make it even easier to be self-critical.

Pretty much everything we have now was new at some point, with a trail-blazer or team who invented it. They may have been laughed at, but they made a difference and I think maybe in the end that's what matters.

It was great to be mentioned in this article by @t It was great to be mentioned in this article by @thestoryexchange on pandemic-era startups. I talked about pivoting towards coaching online, using my existing skill base and adding a further qualification in leadership coaching.

I feel like we've all come out of the pandemic having learned something new about who we are and how we want to work. I feel very fulfilled by the work I have done with clients over the past couple of years through leadership and holistic coaching and it makes me feel great to see them thriving after coming through this (hopefully) once in a lifetime adversity. I feel like events like this can be great for clarifying what is really important to us and where we want to go, or sometimes what we need in order to be happy and well.

What has been your greatest take away from the pandemic?

I just wanted to say hi and show you that I still I just wanted to say hi and show you that I still exist in real life and say I hope you are doing great and I hope everything is going well! I've been doing some writing and thinking for my next kid's book, which is set in a forest, and I thought where better than in a tree? Do you love woods and forests as much as I do?

They can be magical places, especially for writing - but also great for a general detox from screens. I have really been enjoying creating this new world to help children discover their own personal connection to nature.

As well as this upcoming children's book, I'm also looking forward to sharing the new, updated edition of my Art of Coming Home with you this year as well (fingers crossed - they seem to take a long time these book things). I can't believe how fast the time goes, how great my coaching clients have been doing and how long writing takes. 😂

It's 2022 on Saturday! If you have some New Years It's 2022 on Saturday!

If you have some New Years resolutions you'll benefit from my new guide to setting powerful goals.

As a coach I work with goal-setting all the time and I’ve seen how people succeed as well as the things that commonly trip them up.

One of the major stumbling blocks is starting off with a goal that’s not quite right for you, or a goal that would be great but you don’t know how to feel excited about it.

It’s much better to have your willpower ready and accessible because you’ve crafted a goal that feels genuine, than to fight your way forward with a goal that seems sensible and run out of energy and then feel bad about giving up.

There is a lot of info in the guide on genuine, powerful goal-setting and then it walks you through a process of finding out what lights you up and how to shape goals that are in line with that.

You’ll be feeling great while moving towards the goals and life you really want Get your guide by following the link in the bio.

I worked through it myself last week and I have 3 goals I can't wait to start. I can’t wait to hear what you decide to work on and how it goes, feel free to tag me in your progress posts!!

I now have a complete guide that will take you thr I now have a complete guide that will take you through your own Personal Annual Review (link in bio).

This powerful ritual has become an annual tradition for me. I find that it helps me get clarity and (usually) find closure and come to peace with everything that has happened in the year. It is also great opportunity to celebrate my wins, something we often skip over in our hurry to begin something else.

Afterwards it feels much easier to move into the new year with a fresh perspective and more awareness around what I really want and where I'm heading.

Endings and the importance of ending things properly gets probably less than 5% as much airtime as beginnings. Maybe they remind us of our mortality, or worse - admin!!

But they are so important! And can be magical moments that you really don't want to miss by skipping over them to the next exciting start.

They often contain: a pause, self-reflection, time to feel good about your achievements, time to learn from your experience, an opportunity to reframe and re-orient yourself, a way to make meaning from your story.

A good ending can making your New Years' goals much more relevant and more likely to succeed because you won't be dragging all of the past year's baggage with you.

You will find the guide through the link in my bio, or the Guides page on my site (where I'll be releasing more guides in the future - keep an eye out for my Goal Setting guide coming up in time for the New Year!).

And let me know how you get on with it. Whether it's your first one or you're an old hand, I am certain you'll get some important insights from using the tools in this Personal Annual Review guide.
